According to Statista, annual podcast ad spending is expected to increase by $400 million on average, reaching over $5 billion by 2027. The United States will dominate this market, contributing 65% of the total value, with ad spending projected to hit $3.3 billion, up 30% from current levels.

China will follow as the second-largest market, with podcast ad spending reaching $500 million by 2027. Other leading markets, including Japan, India, and Brazil, are expected to see smaller contributions, with each generating less than $100 million in ad spend.

As podcasts continue to expand their reach, the global podcast audience is forecasted to grow to 616 million by 2027—an increase of 190 million from 2023.
